Very variable conditions. Watched 6m, 6.5, 7 and 7.5M sails being taken out
and decided on big.
Rigged the 8m with lots of down and outhaul. First run out varied between
massively overpowered and massively underpowered. Had 3 more runs and
decided I needed to change down.
Rigged the 6.7, would have changed down a fin and board size, but neither
were an option without shopping!
Went back out after watching an extended period of lull. Overall thought I
had wasted a days holiday, but ended up having a good sail. Very gusty at
times and the chop was just about as bad as it gets in Poole so made the
runs very bouncy.
Thought about going in to check the time and sailed back too far towards
the sea defences....clunk, followed by huge spin out. Fin snapped off
*%$£!!!!!!!
Called it a day. Not fantastic, but once agin good to get out. Call it four
stars, but only just
